Lawyer Checker Employee

Onboarding

We process your personal data in our legitimate interests for purposes of processing employee applications and then verifying them and generating a contract. We rely on automated decision-making to match this data against key word searches. When applying for a job at Lawyer Checker an ID check will be performed by a service provider we rely upon in our legitimate interest, to vet your identity, Right to Work (RTW) in the UK, driver’s license authenticity (when required), and a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

Your CV and identity check results are retained by us during and for 6 years after your employment with us or for 1 year after your application. Appraisals

We collate your personal data in addition to feedback from colleagues and superiors via a collaborative platform in our legitimate interests with the purpose of conducting performance reviews in order to have an effective workforce and provide performance related feedback. This performance review is stored up to 1 year after your employment has ended at Lawyer Checker. Payroll

We process payroll data, by various service providers we rely on, in our legitimate interests of fulfilling your employment contract with us. This is for accounting purposes to calculate payroll and to pay your salary and expenses. Your information is retained during employment and for 7 years after your employment has ended at Lawyer Checker. Pensions

As your employer, we are legally obliged to provide you with a pension scheme, and in doing so we will share your contact information, salary and national insurance number with a pension provider. Customer Relations Management (CRM)

We process your contact data in our legitimate interests for direct marketing, sales, account management and customer service purposes. We retain your contact details whilst you are a client, have expressed interest in our services and for 3 years since your last interaction with us for future Lawyer Checker services.

ID checking

We received your contact, banking and ID related personal data from your Law Firm/ Conveyancer. We process this personal data with service providers to verify your identity in our legitimate interests to provide an ID checking service to Law Firms and Conveyancers and benefit society by minimising fraud. We rely on automated decision-making to match your personal data against publicly available records. We retain the results of ID checks for 2 years.
